MediENT Middle Turbinate Implant (MTI)*
MediENT Features
Middle turbinate lateralization has been reported as the most common factor associated with the failure of primary endoscopic sinus surgery.1 Current management techniques such as controlled scarring or suturing of the middle turbinate to the septum can often be challenging due to anatomical variations. Techniques that employ the use of stents, spacers, and packing can cause significant discomfort to the patient.2
The MediENT® Middle Turbinate Implant (MTI) presents a simple and highly effective solution: a tiny resorbable implant that anchors the middle turbinate to the septum.
